I went to Arc Labs from February to June of 2015, this school is a joke, I'm going to name off things that I personally saw/experienced during my time there.

    ~No ventilation...WELDING
~pot smoking, drinking, pill popping in the parking lot
~people coming in high as a kite passing out at the break table
    ~drug/moonshine dealing
~there was a WEEK where we had no steel plate
~no argon tanks what so ever, found one half empty bottle we were all supposed to share one day.
~we came one day to the entire place being locked up, with no one there, our teacher arrives but without a key
~one time we came to find all the welding rods locked and they had dug through the trash to find used rods to try to make us use

we were promised a 96.5% job placement rate
~none of us got jobs through arc labs
~I can't even get them to answer the phone for job placement

I finally found a job on my own so I call up to use their "practice any time you need for a weld test up to one year after graduation" my replies were as follows

~day instructor DANA tells me "you can come in anytime I'm not here"
~you can push your weld test back two weeks we can let you come in.

this place is an absolute JOKE

The instructor is very mouthy, they talk a lot of crap, say it will get you prepared for the job. They have a lot tings to use, as far as equipment goes, but they put you in a booth and you are pretty much on your own.

They use scare tactics so you don't even want to ask them questions, I learned mostly from YouTube and reading books, or talking to students further along than me.

I once welded for three weeks wrong before I was told I was doing it wrong... and I had asked for help but help rarely ever shows up. Bad thing is, it was over head for there weeks wrong.

Do not question the instructor because he will be very upset, he told me he wouldn't teach me anymore and I told him he hadn't helped very much in the 4 months I've been there Anyways, so he told me he wanted me to get my money back, told me to put my things in my car, and so we went upfront and I was like I found another school and the money to go, so I left... but tired to go back into my booth and weld before it got to that, but he insisted, so I asked for my certification for passing my weld test on stick and they said they don't give them to people who stop short of completion...

Now I did learn a lot but it was a rough ride to get there and I feel like I could have accomplished much more in a better environment, with teachers that actuality want to help.

You will also be free labor to them, they will put you to work, I'm sure they will find you something to do, we did all kinds of things.. we the students helped build the place up, from gutting the building to fixing it up and putting the booths together. Maybe we already did most of the work so you might not have to do as much.

But all and all the program has potential, and when it comes to welding, everyone is not cut out for it. So before you waste your money make sure it's what you want to do.

You might even be just as well off if you want to stick weld, watch YouTube get metal from a scrap yard and get a stick welding machine and do it at your own home.

If you want a lot of help to get you far, you won't get it here, but if you can do it on your own or have prior experience, you might be good to go.

But then again I do butt heads with people sometimes and after I apologized for questioning the teacher, and he didn't accept it, what choice did I have but to leave. YouTube can get you far, but I would much rather have an instructor and he made it clear he didn't care what I did he wasn't helping... so I did what was best for me.
